VLF Trio at Bloomington Food Truck Friday
Bloomington Food Truck Friday, 642 N Madison, Bloomington, IN
VLF Trio at the Bloomington Food Truck Friday !! The trio mixes up funk, soul, blues, and reggae into a dynamite instrumental stew. Bloomington’s John Valdez has drummed in our town’s best jazz, funk, and soul bands -- plus he's a regular performer in Cardinal Stage musical extravaganzas. Funk-master Park Law studied bass with Victor Wooten and has toured extensively in rock and soul bands. Guitarist Fickel performs with Jason & Ginger, the WFHB Firehouse Rounders, and has provided live guitar accompaniment for silent films (Dreyer, Morrison, Hoyt) at the IU Cinema. As the VLF Trio they bring it all together for a dynamic array of originals plus tunes by the Georges (Gershwin, Boy, Michael), Morganfield, Meters, Marley, and more!
